Report on 21st October Board Meeting

The Board of Directors of FIS convened for its second meeting of the year on Monday, 21st October 2024, at our Blue Pool Road campus. In line with our commitment to United and Sound Governance, here is a summary of the discussions, considerations, and votes from the meeting.Firstly, the board voted to approve the date and agenda for the 2025 Annual General Meeting, which is scheduled to be held 15th May 2025. This meeting will be conducted in a hybrid format, both online and in-person at the Tseung Kwan O campus auditorium, and will include an election of members of the Board of Directors.FIS Head of School, Mr Michael Maniska, then provided a school management update on several key topics, including the progress of our ongoing school-wide sustainability audit, fundraising activities related to the expansion of our campus sustainability gardens, and progress on our compensation and benefits review.Fulfilling our duty to maintain the long term financial health and sustainability of the school - committees focused on finance, fundraising, governance, risk and audit, and compensation and benefits - shared their roadmaps and plans for the current school year. These included details on their membership composition, goals, meeting schedules, and deliverables, all of which were submitted for consideration.The board voted to approve the committees and their roadmaps.The board will meet again for its third session on Monday, 9th December 2024.
