Our Admission Calendar provides a broad overview of the application journey. Use this guide to understand key milestones and what to expect at each stage of the process.
FRENCH STREAM
APPLICATION STATUS
​In September, we will contact you to confirm your child’s application status for the following school year.
When applicable, you will also be asked to state your campus preference.​
OCT - NOV
PS/MS/GS ADMISSIONS
The first admission offers we will be sending out are those for PS, MS and GS students. Over the span of a month, we will be contacting our applicants based on their ranking on our wait pool and the campus preference submitted.
OCT - MAR
ADMISSIONS OFFERS - CP TO TERMINALE*
By this period of the year, most of our current students will have informed us about departing FIS at the end of the school year. We will therefore be able to offer a place to successful applicants.

MAY - JUN
SEP
PETITE SECTION (PS) / MOYENNE SECTION (MS) / GRANDE SECTION (GS)
For non-French students, an interview of the parents and the registered child with the Deputy Director of the campus may be required. An observation session in the classroom will be organised for all the future PS, MS and GS students in May.​
DEC
PRIMARY / SECONDARY ASSESSMENTS
We will assess applicants who have not been attending an AEFE school or a French public school. Successful applicants will be placed on our wait pool and wait for a vacancy.​
FROM MAR
BACK-TO-SCHOOL PREPARATION
Our team will provide you with all the useful and necessary information (uniforms, canteen, buses, etc.) through a Back-to-School “checklist” to ensure a smooth and stress-free start at FIS.
PS/MS/GS parents will be invited to a “New to FIS welcome meetings“. For other year groups, meetings will take place at the end of August.
INTERNATIONAL STREAM

ASSESSMENTS - NURSERY & RECEPTION
Kick off of FIS’ assessment period starting with NS & RC applicants lasting for almost a month. Once all NS & RC assessments have been completed, successful applicants will receive an admission offer depending on our availability, or be placed on the wait pool.
NOV - JAN
ASSESSMENTS - PRIMARY
January – February: Y1-Y3 Assessment
February – March: Y4, Y5 & Y6 Assessments
Successful applicants will be placed on our wait pool and wait for a vacancy.

NURSERY / RECEPTION PRE-ASSESSMENT ONLINE INFO SESSION
To give our Nursery and Reception year applicants and their families the best chances to succeed, our Primary Principals will organise online info sessions before the assessments to provide guidance and boost the applicants’ confidence.​

ASSESSMENTS - SECONDARY Y7 - Y12
